3 Healthy Metabolism Supplements to Help You Lose Weight

Healthy metabolism supplements are worthwhile tools to include as part of your weight loss plan.  They don’t stand alone as means to weight loss but when used in conjunction with healthy eating and regular exercise they can be helpful ways of increasing your metabolism.

  

Hydroxy Citric Acid

HCD is derived from Malabar aramind or goraka that has been grown and used for cooking across parts of Asia.  It reduces the conversion of carbohydrates into fats and increases energy output and the burning of fat.  In addition to its metabolism boosting capacity, HCD can also help prevent hypoglycemia by increasing the amount of glucose available to the brain each day.  This helps to partly reduce the appetite and assists with weight loss in this way.

If you take a supplement of Hydroxy Citric Acid make sure that it is in acid form.  For the best results, take one or two grams three times a day a half an hour before meals  If you prefer HCA as part of your food add tamarind to your food, especially curries.

Kelp

Kelp comes from seaweed and is of great benefit for those losing weight.  Kelp contains iodine needed by the thyroid to maintain your metabolic rate, produce energy and keep you trim.  It won’t make the thyroid over active but it will assist it to do its job well.  Kelp can be taken as a metabolism supplement in tablet form or as powder on your food.

Lecithin and Essential Fatty Acids

Most of the fat we eat is converted into energy and like carbohydrates is used by our body as source of energy. 

Essential fatty acids have a different role.  They produce ‘micro hormones’ that impact on the way our bodies cells are produced and function.  Essential fatty acids are found in fish oils and some seed oils like borage oil, linseed oil and primrose oil.

These also make up a large part of a molecule called lecithin.  Lecithin helps digest fats and transport them throughout the blood stream.  Lecithin taken as a supplement improves fat digestion and helps prevent the accumulation of unwanted fats.

Combine these metabolism supplements with a healthy eating and exercise plan and enjoy losing weight naturally and healthily.
